The Author

Shirley Reeder Vendrell has both a Bachelor's and a Master's Degree in Spanish from the University of Oregon, with credits from the National Autonomous University of Mexico. She has spent most of her career in the field of education, but always hoped to write. In the Shadow of the Minaret is her first novel.
